Contemporary Crafts at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival
Jeff will be set among the vibrant sounds of Blues, Jazz, and Gospel in Heritage Square, the Contemporary Crafts Fair at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival presented by Shell is a nationally recognized showcase of exceptional fine art and fine craft.
This highly competitive, juried fair features approximately sixty artists each weekend, presenting one-of-a-kind and limited-edition works including handcrafted clothing, leather goods, musical instruments, paintings, photographs, sculpture, and jewelry. Visitors are invited not only to view and purchase work, but also to engage with artists through ongoing demonstrations that reveal the skill, process, and tradition behind each practice.
Jazz Fest is a 10-day cultural celebration welcoming more than 400,000 visitors annually, bringing together thousands of musicians, cooks, and craftspeople from Louisiana and around the world. Founded in 1970, the festival has grown into one of the most prestigious and beloved cultural events in the nation, dedicated to preserving and promoting the music, arts, culture, and heritage of New Orleans and Louisiana.
The Louisiana Heritage Fair, held at the historic Fair Grounds Race Course, features fourteen stages of music, celebrated regional cuisine, and three distinct craft areas: Contemporary Crafts, Louisiana Marketplace, and Congo Square African Marketplace—each offering a rich and immersive experience of cultural expression.
